my beautiful nett has been working away at it for some time, and i am so thrilled with the way she has incorporated elements of my photographs and projects into the design - even my wrist tattoo has made it into the header - can you spot it?

now that this blog is looking the way we always planned it to, i’ll be updating it a lot more often, so keep dropping in to see what’s going on!

what inspires you to create? for me, it can be a range of things - i might want to do something special for a friend of family memeber, i might see a corner of my home that needs brightening up, i might be inspired by the work of creative friends or famous artists. but one thing that never fails to get me reaching for a needle and thread is seeing a whole pile of raw materials just waiting to be played with! so, here is creative inspiration palette 03: raw materials

doesn’t it just make you want to knit, sew, embroider, quilt, felt, bead, or just SING? the colours, the textures, and the possibilities presented by the infinite ranges of textiles out there always get my mind racing with ideas.
